Lanting is snack from Kebumen Regency unique, in addition to sate ambal, soto petanahan, chips gnetum. In fact there are proposal to replace the icons of Kebumen of swallow's nest, because the swallow's nest has been extremely decreased.

Lanting adalah makanan khas kabupaten Kebumen selain sate ambal, soto petanahan, emping melinjo. Malah ada wacana yang mengusulkan untuk mengganti ikon kota Kebumen dari burung walet mejadi lanting, karna sarang burung walet populasinya sudah sangat menurun.
Lanting adalah makanan renyah yang terbuat dari singkong. Selain renyah rasanya juga gurih karna bumbunya. Sekarang lanting sudah diproduksi dengan berbagai macam rasa. Cemilan ini sangat mudah didapatkan, mulai dari pasar pasar disekitar Kebumen, pedagang asongan, terminal, stasiun dan lokasi lainnya. Lanting pun sekarang sudah bisa didapatkan diluar Kebumen, hingga di Jakarta.

Di kecamatan Bonoworo yang meliputi desa Pujodadi, Bonoworo, Rowosari, Paturejo produksi lanting mencapai 2 ton per bulan dari sekitar 20 industri kecil.
